325 wsm 175 grain sierra pro-hunter load?
« on: November 06, 2011, 01:33:12 AM »
I am looking for a load for this if any of you have anything.  I've been shooting heavier factory loads and don't really need the performance, just want something I can hunt deer with that will be accurate and won't beat me to death. Any other "light" loads for this round would be appreciated. Being shot in a Kimber Montana.

Thanks in advance.

go to the Hodgdon website and check out the section on reduced loads..

The Hodgdon on-line Reloading Data Center shows 58.0 to 61.0 gr of Varget under the 175gr Sierra for 2,862 to 2,975 fps.

In my Browning Titanium Mountain Rifle with a 23" barrel, 59.0gr chronos right at 2,890 fps and is consistently the most accurate load in this gun.  It is not a particularly low recoiling load however (remember, this is in a light weight rifle).

As mentioned above, you can use H4895 to create reduced loads per the following link:
