Where are all the Military rifle hunting pictures for this year?

I was hoping you all would have some pictures posted from this year in which you killed with your military rifles. Anyone have any?

This is old, but I've got a milsurp deer: taken in 2008 season with a Mosin M44. Load was 200gr Wolf softpoint. DRT.

Here are some does that fell to a 1903A3. My Dad bought it in 1968 via the NRA.

My Nephew took these does with it last year

Same hunt the 1903A3 got some pig meat as well

This was an important rifle to my family, it is the first rifle to take us away from a 30-30 and into the world of high power rifle hunting. Prior to this rifle we always used buckshot or a 30-30.

It still makes meat.

It'll do the trick. Figured out that crook-of-the-arm safety, yet?

nice buck!  did you have to use the bayonet??  ;D ;D ;D     I have a similar picture of one of my hogs taken with the P14 enfield with the 1907 bayonet on the end.....   it always sparks questions when I show it.      Good one for ya!

Gstewart beat me to it, but I just saw this and was wondering whether you shot it or bayonetted it.  I've got 3 of the M44's and a couple of spam cans of ammo that I bought about 5 years ago and still have yet to shoot any of them (heck, one's still packed in cosmoline).

Naw, no bayonet; I just extended it for the photos. I sight it in (Mojo sights!) with bayonet folded, since that's how I hunt.

That was an odd year; I've not taken the M44 afield since. The Marlin is more precise (thanks, Nikon) and lighter, even if it doesn't have quite the wallop of the 7.62x54 in 200gr (at least not to my ears & shoulder; deer seem to fall just as dead w/30-30)

I seem to have accumulated a goodly nuimber of H&R's that I haven't shot let alone killed a deer with.   :(   But I would like to hunt some with my Springfields, Garands and FALs.  The Russian and German stuff not so much...  ;D

bucket list
#1- Kill a critter with my M1.
I will have to move to another state or just use on crows and coyotes here in Indiana. Vintage hog hunt would be sweet.

Here is a sporter Krag I wish I had kept. This was a great shooter and had one of the purdest pieces of quilted and birds eye maple I have ever seen.  :'( I did kill several deer with it and never scoped it. OOps! I missed the (this year) part.

Been waiting to "break in" my .45-70 with its first deer. After that I will switch to my Mosin Nagant. Come to think of it, that one needs to be "broken in" as well.  ???
