Traveling with anything that resembles a gun these days is a tough. At the check in counter you will be asked to show them the gun is unloaded, so if you can, put the barrel on top so that you can show them there is not a round in the chamber without taking it all out of the packing, Taking lots of gun parts out of a case kind of freaks out the other people standing in line behind you. If it is in a locked hard sided case you can then put it in another suitcase that is not hard sided, or ship it the way it is. Read the rules, it is not as hard to do as you would think. Just do not go through any airport that is in a state that does not premit the kind of weapon you are shipping. Larry
