22 shorts in Charles Daly 22 rifle?

Anyone know if you can shoot 22 shorts and longs in a Charles Daly 22 rifle?  Thinking of getting one of the later models if I find one.

You can shoot 22 short or long in any 22 rifle or handgun, but you might have to hand feed and or eject the cartridge  8)
