TC and replacement parts shipping?
« on: November 13, 2011, 05:40:19 AM »
I recently found that my pro hunter frame and .308 win pro hunter barrel were locked up and would not open when I squeezed the trigger guard.  I removed stock and trigger guard and was able to remove barrel and conduct an inspection.  Upon looking at the trigger guard I noticed that the ear on the right side had been broken off.  not being able to engage the barrel locking bolt this would be why it wouldnt open.  I snapped a few pics and fired off an email to TC.  I was just wondering what the chances are that they will send the part to me as I do not want to send the entire rifle back to factory when I can fix it in 3 minutes at home with rifle season a few weeks away.  Anyone have any experiences with having parts sent to you without a return?

They used to be outstanding that way.  I don't know what to tell you now.  I would call and explain and see what they do.  Don't get angry or demanding and you will do better.

Got the reply to my email on Tuesday.  Said they will replace it at no charge and ship it out but that they are on back order. Might not have it for the season but I'm satisfied with the service. Beats shipping an entire rifle.
