been thinking about trying paper patched bullets, but i've a question for those who have used them extensively. i know that paper is abrasive, so what effects have been observed in firearms which have fired a substanctal number of them.
if you need to add politically to the word correct, it isn't!

As MLV reported about using paper patch bullets, you will be long gone and your rifle still shooter with great accuracy before that barrel ever wears out.

Around my neck ofthe Woods, the only people who are concerned about it are those who do NOT patch bullets with paper for that reason.
Nobodyhas actualy seen this excessive bullet wear.

Les,
I found an old article written in the American Rifleman by E.E.Harrison,who is as good an Authority as I know.
In the November 1975 issue he states that there is NO evidence of barrel wear with paper jacketed bullets.
He also states that there is a lot of talk about it without any merit.
