LBT Mould Question
« on: November 22, 2011, 05:21:28 AM »
I'm considering buying a LBT 358-180 LBTK.
Can't find it on the LBT site (.45s are there)
I plan to use it for my Handi rifle in 357 Max.
Since its a PB boolit - would this be an OK choice?
I like Keith boolits, they are accurate so far.

As long as I matched hardness and good lube to the load, would I do OK or
should I just use a GC boolit?

Thanks for the advise.

Yes, I'm here finally.  I've been having a problem with my GBO connection aborting when I try to post my answers.  It's been ongoing for a few months, so I just keep trying and when it works, answer everybody I can before  the bubble pops!

The bullet you want is available, and I make semiwadcutters for all calibers from 32 to 512.  I also offer 3 authentic Keith bullets for 44 and 45, which are the only ones he developed.

Hit me by email         LBTisAccuracy@localnet.com    and ask for any weight or diameter you want.  I'll make it.  If it isn't an authentic Keith, it will be a SWC based on his nose form for the 44, and I stamp them  LBTK.

A pb is fine in your handy rifle if you don't push them too fast, but a gc will allow you take it to the limit, and the limit will be way over what jacketed will deliver.

That particular bullet,  38 LBTK is a real good killer because it has the same meplat as my FN.  So if you like the SWC form, go for it, and be happy.  It won't let you down

Real Keith bullets are accurate, yes.  But they fall behind any comparitive LBT design, in accuracy, power potential and  with most of them in killing punch.
