Handi Rifle etc in 308?
« on: November 28, 2011, 09:10:13 PM »
I am interested in a 308 Handi Rifle as a longer range rifle than my DPMS Oracle 223.

Heavy barrel, synthetic stock, compact scope, 18 to 20" bbl.

Why? Have lots of 308/7.62 NATO ammo.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Sure!

Look for a "Survivor" in 308!!

These had a slightly heavier profile and bit shorter barrel too! Most shoot very well! Mine included!

I had a friend here cut a rim and alter the extractor, in mine to create the first 307/308 barrel. It shoots my loading of a Speer 165G bullet and a load of H335 into one hole at 50 Yards..
