Isn't that about what happened with Scooter Libby?  Isn't lying to Congress a bit more serious than getting your facts muddled to a halfast special persecuter?

 The fact is, Libby had a short memory, but he didn't leak Valerie Plame's name...however the  Lefties didn't care, they wanted to get SOMEBODY close to Bush or Rove.
   Actually, it was 'one of theirs' who inadvertently leaked her identity.. It was Richard Armitage (former deputy sec of state and a liberal) who did so, and KNEW he did...but he was a liberal..so they kept after Scooter Libby. 
      Libby had 'saved Armitage's butt' in a previous case, but no matter, Armitage let the Scooter take Armitage's fall for him.  He could have "manned up", but that is not a widespread attribute among Liberals....
