Great Smith & Wesson Customer Service
« on: December 05, 2011, 03:26:51 PM »
Monday before Thanksgiving I sent my Model 586 in for recall on the firing pin and bushing.  I added a note with the paperwork that the trigger felt a like it was dragging a little and if they would check it, I would pay them.  Last Thursday, I received a letter saying that they had my revolver and I should get it back in 3 to 4 weeks. They acknowledged the recall and said they would check the trigger.  Last Friday (the very next day), Fedex pulled up with a box that needed a signature from an adult. Got the box inside wondering what was in it. Opened it and it was my 586 polished up, new FP and bushing and the trigger slicker than owl $h!!.  No additional charges. Now if that's not great customer service I don't know what is.  It does concern me that their "failure to communicate" with each other is lacking.
