2 Does fall to the Contender

Put some quality meat in the freezer with my new (to me) contender w/super 14 barrel in 44 mag. 200 gr XTP over H110 performed flawlessly.
Just love hunting with my handguns.

Nice shooting. I almost had a nice 125 yd. broadside shot with my (new to me) 10" 30-30 contender, but the deer turned and walked straight away out of handgun range. Had to take it at 225 yds. with the rifle. Hope to get another chance with the contender, but if not will be shooting groundhogs next summer. I am amazed at the accuracy of this gun, shoots better that most of my rifles!

Neither was very far, 35 yds. I thought I was going to have to take about a 60-70 yd shot  on the 2nd one as it worked across in front of me, then it just turned & walked just about right up to me.
