Special Orders
« on: December 15, 2011, 03:36:04 PM »
New here.  Have 5 Handi's\ NEF's and just HAVE to get another!

I am SURE this is a stupid question!  Anyway....  I want a .357 Mag Handi with a laminated stock.  Cant find that on the website......  Can I order this direct from H&R?  Do they have a "custom shop" type of system where we can specify things like this?

Thanks!

Welcome man.  8)  The exact combo you are asking about isn't a directly available combination, unfortunately.  357's are available as are laminated stocks, but since there isn't an Ultra in 357, you would have to combine parts yourself.  Std. .357's are made on SB1 frames and any of the std. stocks will fit, so you can get a thumbhole lam from Boyd's currently or watch the classifieds here.  Your quickest route will be to buy a stock .357 with std. stock, post the std. stock for sale in the classifieds with a WTB (want to buy) for a lam set or watch for one to pop up.  ;)  This is one available from Bud's who's a site supporter also.  ;)

Sorry here's the link to Boyds if you prefer that route.  ;)

Checkered Ultra stocks are available from H&R, Brownells and Numrich in cinnamon and camo lam, you'll have to call H&R(866-776-9292) to check availability, Brownells and Numrich are listed online.

EDIT: It appears Brownells is discontinuing H&R parts, all I found was the forend, no stocks at all.  :(

I'd start in the wanted to trade. When I bought my .223 it came with camo synthetics. I liked the stick but not the camo. When I offered it up for trade some of the stocks offered were laminates (I traded it to Tim for a black synthetic of the same style). You might get someone to do a trade+ cash for the synthetics it come with.

Sorry guys, despite all your knowledge, your wrong.  ;)
There is a Custom Shop for H&R, it's called "NEF/H&R Classifieds"  ;D ;D ;D

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.
