This obsession has got to stop!

Two days ago the bargaining for the Colt SAA in 44-40 fell through. As I really wanted the .44 Special, I was not really disappointed. I made a call to see if a 3rd generation listed on a site was still available and off to look. Well I ended up buying it. This is my first big bore Colt, and I could not be happier. It is a blue and CCH with a 5 1/2 barrel and in .44special. What made things even better is when I fired it! Shoots to POI and accurately. It looks like the only thing this one is going to need is ivory, a lot of shooting and a bunch of reloading! Life is GOOD!

The Obsession part of the post is that while I was there, I also put a hold and partial payment on an Open Top that I could not live without. It is made by Navy Arms and is in .38 Special with a seven and a half in barrel. As this is not a conversion, the bore should be good to go and I needed to replace the Cimmaron Lightning I let get away from me. Though I like the short barrels, she is graceful ant true to the originals. By the time she comes home I should have the camera situation fixed and the tutoring needed to get pictures posted.
