Savage style barrel threading

Has anyone ever tried to fit a barrel on a action(not a savage) using a savage style nut.I think it would be easy to do.

I have not done this and have never seen it but can see no reason it would present major problems.  The Remington's would have to have their recoil lugs pinned, but that is a common practice in any case.  Of course the nut would need to be fabricated, but inside single point threading is not all that difficult.  It is even possible to buy taps and dies for the mauser type rifles, making this a process that doesn't even require a lathe..good luck from the gunnut69
