45-70 Handi rifle weight

I have a 45-70 Handi rifle with synthetic stock.  Has anyone actually weighed their Handi rifles, in particular this one?  I know what the website says, but firearm websites are notorious for giving weights that may be in the ball park, but aren't accurate.  In the cobwebs of my memory I seem to remember someone making the comment that their 45-70 weighed less than the 7 lbs listed on the website.

I just weighed my 22" 45-70 with sights and old style synthetics and it weighs 6.8 pounds.
