you are looking more and more like a troll to me... Matt

Again, if you are refering to me, I've been a member of this forum since November 2003. I don't like Ron Paul. I have stated my reasons as to why. Just because you don't agree with them does not make me a "troll".

There is only one true conservative in the race.

And that person is not Ron Paul.

If you can point out a true conservative in the race other than Ron Paul I will gladly vote for him.

I'm all ears.......tell me who I should vote for and why.

No it doesn't! We are all entitled to our opinion! Problem is you appear to think.........Going by your post's only yours counts.

(Example) from another thread, and this one is typical.

This moron has a small, whacked out following of idiots, just like him, who live in a dream world so far from reality they couldn't catch it on a rocket. They pi$$ and moan about the "Status Que". And THIS is their solution? What scares me isn't Ron Paul, it's the young base that continue to slobber over him after he steps on his tongue time after time. When is this nation going to grow the hell up, and accept common sense and hard work work as a solution, instead of some whacked out idiot the likes of this guy? At his age he should know better. At his supporters age they should be smarter! Bill T.

It really doesn't matter how long you've been on the forum. What does matter is mutual respect for other members!   The above statement and others I've found are not respectful! These are things a troll might use. If you need to respond do so with a PM.

tell me who I should vote for and why.

If I need to tell you that, you have no business voting in the first place. I simply cannot understand why this has to be constantly explained to Ron Paul disciples. You are going to have 2 people in the race that have a chance of winning. Neither will be Ron Paul. It will be either the Republican nominee, or Hussein. If you fail to vote for the Republican front runner, regardless of who he is, you are basically voting for Hussein. If you can't see or understand this, please stay home on election day. You won't be helping this country get better, you will only be making it worse.

No it doesn't! We are all entitled to our opinion!

I have never said otherwise. You are as entitled to your opinion as anyone. Just don't try to link fantasy to reality, then try to sell it to me as political fact. It isn't, and never will be. I can accept the FACT, along with every other political analyst in this country who has an ounce of respect, that Ron Paul has zero chance of winning. You're convinced all that is left is for him to choose which tuxedo he should wear to the Inauguration.

I don't live in a fantasy world. You must if you think Ron Paul is going to win, and base your political opinions as such. That I cannot help. Just don't sit there and whine about how little respect you're getting when you do it. This is why I said Ron Paul's own political base is his own worst enemy. They scare people away in droves because of their foolish comments. People don't like candidates whose base consists of voters who live in a dream world. State your candidates positions, then leave it at that. Ron Paul supporters seldom, if ever do. They all act is if they know more, and proceed to degrade people who don't like or want him for realistic reasons.

If someone says something, anything bad about Ron Paul, or his positions, right away his followers start in with how they haven't, "read the Constitution", they, "don't understand his policies", or else how, "they haven't taken the time to listen to him". All crap. They have listened to him. They do understand him. They have read the Constitution. They do understand the importance of freedom, and all the rest the Ron Paul people babble on about. What you have to understand is THEY SIMPLY DO NOT WANT HIM. Period. His poll numbers have proven that in the last 3 TIMES he has run for President. What irritates me, and the rest of the people who do not want him, is how his followers refuse to be cognisant of that simple FACT, and instead dismiss fact in favor of their own political fantasies. Then have the audacity to complain when people don't buy into it.

Again like I said in the other thread about Ron Pauls Iowa debate...

Electing a Republican candidate that is slightly less socialist that the one currently holding office all leads to the same destination.  Communism.  The only difference is electing one of the current offereings of "Main stream Republicans that have a "chance" of winning"  gets you there a bit slower than voting Liberal.     This is what the 2 party system has got us.  Can I just go ahead and start calling you Comrade Bill T?
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."

And you may in fact be right. Now, please explain to me how you intend to stop this run away train by voting for a candidate who has absolutely zero chance of winning, and has not received a single Electoral Vote EVER? "Making a statement" doesn't mean a thing when the guy you helped put in power by wasting your vote, gets into office, and further screws up the country for another 4 years.

Bill here is where we disagree in a nutshell. "you helped put in power by wasting your vote"

There comes a point in ones life (mine came quite early when I was in the service) . You learn to stand for what you hold is true , right and just. Your values , your morals your personal convictions, the code you choose to live your personal life by. I will no longer appease a republican party candidate by compromising those standard just because they come as a wolf wrapped in republican sheeps clothing .. making all the promises they make every 4 years then continue status Quo.

Republicans , Democrats , are all the same .

I have aligned myself Ron Paul because he is someone that speaks the language and supports positions that best align with my core values. for me , and only for me , to vote otherwise is to cow tow to status quo irregardless of what party blanket or window dressing they choose to wrap themselves in.  I do not consider this as throwing my vote away. I consider this as making a stand that I am not willing to compromise anymore just to attain more of the same that got us in this mess in the first place. Here is his exact voting record (not posting to try and sway anyone) just want to get the facts out.

And in the service they taught you how to stay alive. Not sacrifice yourself gaining nothing in the process. That is what you are doing by voting for Ron Paul, because it will accomplish nothing. It is in essence a suicide mission. Except for the fact you'll be helping the enemy, not hurting them.

Bill , here is the fallacy in your thinking (I'm not bashing it's your position and I am fine with that) but from my perspective you keep using the word "win". What you fail to understand is you "win" nothing.  lets try it this way ...

I want a healthy vegetable .... so I approach 3 vendors. One Vendor tries to sell me bananas , - I say no thanks I want a vegetable. Another vendor offers me a Tomato as an alternative choice. so I say thanks I'll take it.
only guess what ? Yep a Tomato is a Fruit of the Tomato plant.  I just picked a false choice.

A third vendor offers me a real choice of healthy vegetables which is what I asked for. So , The dems are pushing Bananas, Newt is pushing Tomatoes , he is disguising himself as a vegetable vendor but underneath he is just like the guys selling bananas, his record , and ethics, speaks for itself.

If your satisfied with Tomatoes .. then by all means vote for Newt. But understand what your really getting in your selection. Status quo .. more fruit.

Ron Paul is the only true vendor selling the vegetables I want. I'll stick with Ron.

I've said enough on this subject.  That's the wonderful thing about democracy we all get to cast a vote,  and vote our conscience. Peace be with you my friend.

Soooo.......our choice is supposed to be between Gingrich the progressive, or Obama the communist?

Sorry, I have a few principles and I can't go either of those directions. A failing of mine I suppose, but I'm done compromising with the socialistdemolibs AND the RHINOs.

Bill T since you are making such an ass of yourself I'm gonna address this directly to you even tho such is technically against my own rules for this site. Ownership has its priviledges.

I do NOT believe you truly understand the election cycle and just where we are in it at this point. You keep saying that a vote for Ron Paul is a thrown away vote and that a vote for anyone other than the front runner is a wasted vote.

We're in the final lap leading up to the primaries. At this point there really is no front runner as such just whoever the particular news media wants you to think is the leader. Once the caucases and primaries get under way and folks start accumulating the point counts needed to win the nomination then there will be a front runner.

BUT just cuz someone is the front runner at some point in the cycle doesn't mean they'll be the one nominated. It ain't over till the fat lady sings and the count is taken and one of the folks running has won the Republican nomination.

At that point who the republicans will put up against the obamination is set in concrete and they are no longer a front runner they are the Nominee. The republican nominee might or might not win the election and only after the election do we start to talk about electorial votes. Since Ron Paul has not yet won the party nomination then no he hasn't won electorial votes. He has stated categorically he will not run as a third party candidate should he not win the Republican nomination. Unlike some (most politicians) he actually does what he says.

Until such time as the primary elections are over Ron Paul has the same chance as everyone else running for the nomination to get it. It is generally accepted even by the media folks who hate him that he is in second place not so far behind Newt or at worse tied with or a point behind Romney who by the way has no better record of winning than Ron Paul does when it comes to the Republican nomination.

You need to get a clue as to how this all works. For now we're leading up to the primaries and yes Ron Paul has as good a chance as anyone of getting any given state's votes for the nomination. If he fails to do so he is out of the picture as far as running for President is concerned. There is no way that voting for him or for any other candidate one wishes to support is throwing away their vote in the primaries. Just the opposite in fact as the primaries is where we decide who we'll send up to oppose the obamination.

Now be careful, be VERY CAREFUL what you say next. Matt and I own this site and we make the rules. You are looking more and more like a troll with each post you make often two or three of them in a row. That alone has caused Matt to ban several folks. He really, really doesn't like it when folks do that. Say what ya want to say then hit post don't make another reply following your own 2-3 times in a row.

You keep saying that a vote for Ron Paul is a thrown away vote and that a vote for anyone other than the front runner is a wasted vote.

You don't read my posts very well. I have said several times, vote for whomever you want in the primary elections. If you like Ron Paul, then knock yourself out voting for him........

If you like Ron Paul go ahead and vote for him in the primary elections. That is your right, and you harm no one by doing so. But after he fails to get nominated.....yet again, writing him in is only going to help split the Republican vote. And in the process get the worst possible candidate elected.

What I am saying is when the Republicans nominate their candidate, Ron Paul will not be it. At that point if anyone wastes their time voting for him they are indeed wasting their vote, period. A lot of Ron Paul supporters have pledged to do exactly that.

I understand the election cycle perfectly. It takes 270 Electoral Votes to become President of the United States. This is Ron Paul's third time. He has yet to receive one single Electoral Vote IN 23 YEARS. If that doesn't define wasting your vote on a candidate who cannot win, then I don't know what does. Now, if that makes you angry, and you want to "ban me" for stating what everyone else already knows, then do what you will if it makes you feel any better.

Just so you understand GBO is not a Constitutional Republic.  :o
Please explain to me why you do not feel we should follow the Constitution.
And you still have not answered who the true conservative is.

If you cant answer then say so. tread light as you are looking more and more like a troll to me...

Probably the most conservative of all the current candidates, and I really like her stances on most issues.  However, unless she gets the nomination, it would be a shame to vote for her..and likely put the "black plague" back in the oval office, where he can do even more damage than he has already done.   He has destroyed so much...it is now a case of NATIONAL SURVIVAL,  ....no time for a petty political debate between conservatives !

   So if the "true vegetable" is not accepted by most conservatives and they would prefer a vegetable which is very close;
You will still imsist on the "true vegetable" which is no longer available, passing up something very close...assisting yourself and the rest of us of being fed a ROTTEN POSSUM again..   I'm sure all conservatives will appreciate your fruitless loyalty..
