I'm in favor os Sunday hunting. Guys working full time get ONE DAY A WEEK to hunt. Those who are retired don't ware, they can go anytime they want.

I've heard that Sunday prohibition is a 'blue laws' thing, interferes with church or somesuch. Don't believe it. My hunting friends at church would LOVE the opportunity for a Sunday hunt; most proponents of the ban could careless about 'The Lords's Day'

Well, since I am planning on retiring in about 3 months, I guess I will be one of the ones who won’t “ware” about hunting on Sunday…

But, let’s look at this picture—I have worked for 45 years and there was NO Sunday hunting…

I worked 5 days a week, and on a couple of jobs, I worked 5.5 days a week…

I still shot my share of deer and I always had a beagle and I shot plenty of rabbits also.  As a matter of fact, I would shoot enough to can 4 or 5 quart jars of them in one canning session.  I’ve canned a good many quarts of rabbits…

I would get a day off, maybe take a vacation day, or a holiday and I would hunt…

I am still working and I get Saturday to hunt now.  But, I hunt when I get a day or even a few hours after work…

As a matter of fact, I got home at around 1500 hours on the 6th of December and I had my hunting clothes and handguns in my truck.  I drove 14 miles to a piece of property I own, walked a ¼ mile to my hunting area and waited by a field…

At around 1620 hours several doe walked into a field—that was the end of my hunting season.  Hung the deer up in the dark at a building at that property and waited until the next day to process—again after work…

So, hunting can still be done with a 5 day a week season.  But, as I said, it doesn’t mean a thing to me one way or the other—Sunday or not.  I never needed it and won’t even need it if it passes and we hunt every day of the week…

By the way, it damn straight has nothing to do with “The Lord’s Day”.  I gave up on those thoughts and beliefs during and post-Uncle Sam…

Still those who want the Sunday hunting—more power too you and I sort of hope it passes for you people.  Let’s see what happens…

Good-luck…BCB

I hope they never pass it I talked to some farmers and its the only day of peace they have they said they will post there property and I don't blame them 1 bit ,if they pass that law I and a couple friends will stop hunting and I hope everyone does, theres only limited places now and if they pass this there will be less places to hunt.
