Saw the largest bunch of handis in one place in a long time. I was in the Arcadia Sporting Goods shop in Arcadia Mo this afternoon, and they had a couple dozen. They had 3 Trappers, a 357/44/45-70, they had slim profile 243 and 7-08, some 30-06's, 444's, a 35 Rem, other 45/70's, 223's. Most were synthetic stock in camo, and they wanted an arm and leg for them, from $319 to $339 on the camo. Black stocks were like $289, and a couple plain wood was $259. I am really glad I had a chance to handle them, because I had entertained swapping stocks before, now, no way. There were some older black synthetics that I do not remember as being so bad, but maybe my memory is
I also LOVED those Trappers! I would put body parts on ebay for one in 32/20. I will eventually get me one of those, maybe swap a 357 regular barrel and boot to someone for a 357 Trapper barrel who wants to ream it to something else. Any way, anyone in the bootheel region might want to look. The store says they have over 1900 guns in stock, and they may be correct. They are high asking prices, but they have about everything, and they might haggle. Neat store though.
