Just took my kids shooting using all cast reloads in 38, 357, 44, 45acp. No squibs, or ammo issues in 400 rds. This was our first time entirely off of factory ammo, and it felt great. Thanks to all the great folks here giving good advice!

sounds like a great way to spend the day after Christmas your children!  the smell of burnt gunpowder early in the morning! Hard to beat!

Ha ha, yes! So the loads weren't dialed in for my daughters 4" barreled 586, but she liked the fireball and bluish cloud all the same. Adds "atmosphere" to the experience!
