Where are they?
« on: December 15, 2011, 03:49:07 PM »
Who done stole all our deer here in Troup County?  I'm seeing some sign and a few deer, but very few.  Coyotes?  Poachers?  The devil?

I've done a lot of walking and looking, on some public land that I was recently informed I could not carry a gun on because it was not set aside for hunting, and I've seen but little deer sign and one grouchy ranger.

Am I just getting too blind and dumb....no wait I've always been dumb...am I going blind...er...?

Well, if they tried to swim across the Chattahoochee, they didn't make it across, cause they ain't over here.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

I'm almost glad to hear that so I don't feel like it's just me!   :(

Before the season I had pictures of 2 deer on my camara at my feeder.  I killed both of them.  Since then, October mind you, there has not been a deer walk down that main trail or come to my feeder.   :o

One of my hunting buddies has the same deer on his cam; a cow horned spike, what appears to be a dry doe and a doe with 2 fawns.  That's it!

I've never seen anything like it...  :-\

Me thinks they moved south Richard.   We gots a lot of 'em down this ways,    Since Archery started we harvested four eight points, a 6 pt, a spike and 3 does, not to mention half dozen big hawgs, a yote and one bobcat.  They are still all over the cameras as well as a clan of black bears.   Shoot me a PM when you can - not much time left.
