Toby's done a lot of work on his site, and has updated it to include many muzzleloading links of interest on the main page. It is not often that a well-published hunter and author goes to such effort to freely offer the latest revelations in field testing and new products-- I can't think of anyone else that comes close. Well worth a read to anybody that is serious about muzzleloading.
The following is the right sentiment, coming from one who has worn the buckskins, popped game with round balls, sidelocks, heavy conicals, you name it-- and, most importantly-- no matter how many animals are piled up, year after year, still keeps working for a "better way." Sometimes, the only way to progress in the art of muzzleloading is to remain forever "unsatisfied." I hope Toby never is!
... Whether or not you agree with how this sport has changed, and our coverage of today's rifles...powders...projectiles...and sighting systems . . . We don't care if its hammer is on the side...on the bottom...or in the rear. We only care if the shooter is relying on the absolute best performing load that rifle can be stuffed with. - Toby Bridges, HIGH PERFORMANCE MUZZLELOADING
There are scant few reliable sources of current information to the muzzleloading that are not only free and topical, but truly independent and honest. Toby Bridge's site is one of the few that cut the ice, and that is why it is saluted here.
