Just bought a 223 Axis yesterday, took it to the range and was very pleased with it.Did a trigger job on it to get rid of the lawyer trigger and going to take it this afternoon to bag a couple of does. The jury is still out on the Bushnell scope that came on it but, it was cheaper to buy the package deal than an individual rifle, Go figure that one....
Trigger jobs are so easy a Caveman can do them.
take the original spring out, screw in a 10-24 x 1/2 " set screw. take a 7/32' diameter compression spring and trim to the desired trigger pull . I started out with one 1 1/2' long cut it off to the original length of factory spring. Assembled trigger and tried the pull. It was heavier than I wanted so I removed one coil and am tickled silly with the results.just make sure the finished job passes the bump test. Cock bolt and bump the butt on the floor to make sure it will not go Bang
