Any comments on GSG .22 reliability and accuracy? I have heard they are better quality than the Chiappa.

Bought one when they first came out.  Did a pretty extensive review of it here a while back.  To the point, I have found it to be an excellent copy of a 1911.  Very reliable, and accurate, with a good trigger.  Maybe 2K rounds thru it now. I am very happy with mine, and have not used my Kimber .22 upper conversion kit since I acquired the GSG.  Based on my experience with mine, I'd recommend them.

Found the link on Oct 31, 2010. Sounds like a winner. But anyone else's experience would also be appeciated.

The GSG 1911 .22 is a very good handgun. I notice the New ones are marked SIG. The only problem I have had at 1000 rounds the spring guide rod broke off the guide bushing. It is easy to repair I just drilled a hole in the bushing and epoxied the rod in. I have now put 3000 rounds thru it no problems. My gun does not like Remington Bulk ammo. The GSG likes the Federal Bulk ammo. These are great shooters look and feel very Colt 1911. The Chiappa I owned was a great disappointment I would never own another one. The GSG magazines are very nice but pricey. They cost about $40 bucks. The local gun shop has a good stock and I have 3 extras. The down side of the GSG is everybody at the range wants to shoot it.

I went to the gun chop today to buy one, but they only had one with plastic grips and a picatinny rail. Looking for one with wood grips, but the wholesalers seem to be out of them.
