Finally got out and did some crow calling
« on: January 31, 2012, 01:06:32 PM »
Me and a freind finally got out and called some crows in one of our hot spots.  shot 7 recovered 6- one decided to take a stroll off into the gigweeds.  The hunt ended early.  I decided to see if I could have a twig share an eye socket with one of my eyeballs.  Not a good time.  OUCH!!!! Managed to get things together for a pic though.  Later on that day, the pain was so bad in my eye, I took a trip to the ER- he he.  Turns out I sctatched my cornea.  Those of you that have experienced that know the pain I went through the next couple days!!!!!!!!!!!!

The two fox pros in front of the shottys were used.  One was set on Dying crow and the other on a crow fight.  Its been working pretty good for us.  We really love it after the flock has come in a few times, to shut the calls off, it seems to always suck in a one or two more at a time for several rounds.  Call, quietness, couple of birds fly in to investigate, smoke em, repeat process. ;D

I too am a crow hunter and love the sport.Only wish the Arkansas Fish and Game would change the season to be like Tennessee so we could hunt the juveniles in June.
