I've gotten seed catalogs from Gurney, Burpee, Park, Territorial, Dixondale Farms, Wood Prarie Farms, Jung and Henry Fields.

Did I miss any good ones?

I read a book "Gardening When It Counts" which was pretty good. The author used to be in the seed business, so he was particular and very well informed about seeds. He recommended Johnnys seeds. They are on the net.

Also, you might want to start learning about saving your own seeds what with the unsettled times, and the possibility that Obummer could get another 4 years. Seed Savers Exchange [on the net] is a good place to start learning about that.

You don't necessarily have to buy expensive seeds, some plants have perfect flowers meaning they usually pollinate themselves, meaning that the seeds you save from them will usually give true progeny. Beans are a good example. I have been playing around seeing what dry beans I can grow in my gardens. I have successfully grown several types of beans that I got as beans packaged for food in the grocery store or for rarer things from health food stores. This year I bought a package of 15 bean soup mix and picked out several different kinds that I want to experiment with.

I buy locally, haven't ordered seeds for many years. The mail order seeds are dbl and triple what they are locally, but I still look through the catalogues when I get them.

I went paperless a while ago when it comes to seed catalogs.  They all have websites and it is far quicker to order anything on-line.  And I got into buying plants at Nurseries instead of seeds.

The bad part is: I do miss having the hard copy in my hands while on the recliner and falling asleep.

That's the whole thing.  I order on line but like to have the catalogs to read while sitting in the recliner.  If I fall a sleep with my laptop on my lap my wife always wakes me up worried that it might slide off and get busted.  With the catalogs I can take my nap in peace when my eyes get tired.  Plus there are other places that are great to take a catalog with where taking the laptop could prove troublesome.
