New model Vaquero trigger pull question

Acquired a N.M.Vaquero used but real nice a few months ago,shoots real nice,trigger can use a little "hokus-pokus" though . I plan on sending it to Bob Munden soon as the $$ is saved but overtime is short this winter...
 Anybody know what spring kit/or recommend a spring kit that I can put in this baby to lighten it up a little,I do all my own work(not to the caliber of Mundens) so install is not a problem. Thanks in advance.SAS

or simply unhook one side of the trigger return spring, just under the grips.

I....don't know bout disconnecting one side of a spring... I think if it was made to have two sides attached then they should be.....
 
I checked Brownells they have the Wolff sets-30/14 and 40/14,I think the 40/14 will suffice-I don't want the trigger too light and at $14 and change it's a small price to pay for an easier/better functioning firearm. SAS

Acquired a N.M.Vaquero


All Ruger Vaquero's are New Models.  The Ruger New Vaquero is built on the "mid sized" cylinder frame. It is Factory fitted with a rather "soft" mainspring.   The trigger spring is, IIRC, the standard Ruger offering.   Reducing the trigger pull is no more difficult than using "needle nose" pliers and bending both legs of the trigger spring a wee bit.


Of course, doing a full "tear down" and polishing ALL friction areas is the way to go.
