maybe a dumb ?

i have a gen1 contender frame in blue finish will a SS barrel fit??????

Yes. Sometimes wear and tolerances are such that the bolt (locking lug) must be changed to get a given barrel to lock up on a particular frame, but this is an easy change, and not related to stainless vs blue.

Yes, it can be made to fit.  It is the Armor Alloy barrels that won't fit because the barrel hinge pin is a different diameter.

Actually, the Armour Alloy barrels can be made to fit as well. As a complete gun, the AA guns have a smaller diameter hinge pin, which won't work with blue and stainless barrels but, the AA barrels can be opened up at the hinge pin hole to work fine on the stainless and blue frames.
