.17 HMR handgun velocity?
« on: March 28, 2012, 05:08:55 AM »
I've scoured the net looking for an answer and finding zilch. Does anyone have actual chronographed velocities for the .17 HMR from a revolver? I've chronographed .22WMR from my 6" AMT auto and find it looses about 500 fps compared to rifles. I would speculate the .17HMR would loose even more but can't find any confirmation. NO, I am not going to buy one just to chronograph it, that's what gun writers are paid to do but they don't seem to have done it, or at least I haven't been able to find it if they have. ;D
