H001 Range Report

I took my new Henry out Saturday to sight it in.  I'm using a BSA scope.  At 50 yards the first 5 shots were almost 1".  Most shots were touching.  This was using CCI minimags.  I didn't try any other ammo.  Some groups were tighter at .5".  I experienced no fliers like I do with my 10-22.  I really like this gun.

I'm thinking of picking up a H001 to play around with, and a woods walking rifle. Don't really need it but just want to add a lever action 22. May go with a peep sight to keep it light and handy. :)

I LOVE my H001. The Marlin folks will sneer at you, but it's a great little rifle and the action is smooth as butter.

Be sure to try some CCI CB shorts in it. 29 gr, 710 fps.
Tiny little bang, then you wait a while and get a "plink".
I can shoot them in the house without earplugs.

DO IT! A "need" can be very loosely defined.
