Belgian Browning .22 auto problem
« on: January 12, 2012, 07:44:33 AM »
I have a Belgian Browning .22 auto. The bottom eject type that loads through the butt stock. It is trying to double feed and jams. I see nothing broken or worn, and a good cleaning and lubing did nothing to help. Any ideas?

I had one of those a long time ago so my memory is poor but I think that there is a snake like spring above the bolt in the receiver visible when you pull the trigger assembly. Make sure that spring is in properly. The spring has a  hook that fits in a hole in the floating ramp that catches the second bullet preventing the double feed.

Thanks. I will check that out. That was my suspicion as I could see nothing else that it could be.

Dead on Hank. Thankyou. I saw that the spring was not quite flat to the side of that ramp, which allowed a small bit of play. Gave it a little re-bend, and it now works fine. Thanks again.
