VVG Synthetic Stock on it's way!!!!!!!

VVG had a Lone Wolf Fiberglass Synthetic stock left over from the Reno SCI show.  I purchased it yesterday and it should be here middle of next week.  NO 4 MONTH WAITTTTTTTTT!!!   Sweet, I can't wait to try it out.

I will be parting with my stock and forend.  What will a VVG 2 hole hanger bar sell for?  It is set up for my Ocatagonal barrel but looks fine on my normal 223.

Please post a picture when it comes. Would love to hear your opinion on the quality and fit.  For the price it should be outstanding.

 I have a Kevlar on order for my 12 gauge slugger and .50 cal muzzle loader.

It should be here today or tomorrow.  I have been wanting this stock set for a long time but have never been a patient person.  I knew they were going to the Reno SCI show and thought they might take a Lone Wolf set.  Well a few phone calls later and they did have one, just right for my barrels.  I will post pics and a review.  This is a fiberglass model which I wanted because it is heavier than the Kevlar.  I am one of the few who like heavier better.

Just curious....what type of finish did you get it in?

I got it yesterday and it is beautiful.  Well, from a functional viewpoint.  Nothing compares to the beauty of wood but for what I put them through, wood is bad.  I got the lilith finish.  I did have to do some barrel channel work as this one was a little narrow for my octagonal 850 contour.  I bit of sanding and it was done.  

My one complaint is that the buttpad was epoxied on instead of screwed on.  I had to cut it off to install my mecury recoil reducer and now I have to replace the buttpad this afternoon.  

Overall, I am positive this will be worth the $$$ in peace of mind about humidity and forend pressure, not to mention durability.  I am at work now and I will try to post pics or I can send them email tomorrow or Sat.

I ordered a Virgin Valley fiberglass stock/forend in Feb. 2003 and received it in August.  Supplier could not supply.  I used it all deer season and the finish has already started flaking off.  They have agreed to refinish but for the money and wait it should never have happened.  On the flip side, my custom Encore is the best rifle that I have ever shot.

Can you post a photo of the flaking?

I was VERY specific when ordering my Kevlar version and asked several times about the durability of the finish.  V Valley said that unles you "drop it on a rock, or something like that" it will last a lifetime.

Now I'm nervous.  The price of this stock with 2 forends was $200 more than a complete TC Encore.
