Barrel adapter for T/C
« on: January 17, 2012, 10:32:08 AM »
Also posted in T/C rifle section;
Quite some time ago I stumbled onto a company that was manufacturing an adapter that would fit a T/C frame and would allow a regular barrel to be threaded and fit into it. In this way a gunsmith could thread a barrel blank and fit onto a Contender or Encore frame. I have lost the link to this and am interested in finding it again. Has anyone here heard of this and perhaps know of the manufacturer of these adapters.
Also any pros and cons of this system of mounting a barrel to T/C's. Looked to me as if it might show of being a good thing to check out.
Any help finding this site and any information about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

T/C has introduced one better. An interchangable barreled bolt action rifle. It's about time someone came up with this feature. They look to be short action but that's fine with me.

Actually they have four different action lengths.  Short, medium, long and magnum.  They offer different bolts and magazines for each size.  The bolt face is for the general size of the cartridges in each length.  Have read a little about them, not much.  I will still love my Contenders and Encores.

I remember seeing a write-up on the person you're talking about on another website forum perhaps on the unspoken one.  I also remember hearing he went out or at least quit making the stubs sometime after that.  Unless you have your own machine shop I'll be a pretty expensive deal.
