carbon 15 forend and ncstar weaver mount

I have carbon 15 bushmaster and the heat sheild on forearm is permanent.  how do u mount a ncstar weaver mount rail on it if can't take out heat shield thanks.

I finally just pried up enough to get nuts under and it worked.  Did end up having to take scope off to get forend back on as rail touched scope when trying to get on.  After got on worked with scope.  thanks
