Hard to imagine referring to myself as a noob at age 62, but my mommy always told me it's best to the truth.  Delighted to find this site.  Have been interested in guns my entire life.  Had a (I believe it was an) Ithaca 20 ga single as a mid-teen but nothing from about age 17 until the last thirty days.  My sons are deeply into firearms and a pending Christmas visit put me over the edge.  In the past thirty days I have purchased a new Ruger 10/22, new Ruger Single-Six Convertible .22 cal revolver and a 1966 Ruger Mark 1 Standard .22 semi-auto pistol.  Today.....I purchased a 1983 H&R Model 88 20 ga.  I couldn't pass it up, had to "have my old gun back."  Can't wait to get it out put some shells through it.
 
Anxious to learn from so many fine and knowledgeable guys.
