Here in the Interior where I live we are actually below our average snow fall. The heavy snowfall has been down on the coast. Valdez is used to it. They haul what falls there in town down to the docks and push it into the bay. Cordova has been hauling it out of town on a barge and dumping it at sea.
They both may experience flooding from the surrounding hills come spring. Not concerned about Valdez, they are used to it. Cordova may be a different story. Since I don't live there, I honestly can not answer that.
By the way it's 53 below this morning here in North Pole. Ouch that hurts. It's 50 yards from the front door to the street to get the paper. By the time I got to the street I was thinking I should have put on more cloths. I had just put a heavy coat on over my PJs, and wore my slippers. by the time I got back inside, I was looking for a heater. I have what we call a toe heater under the kitchen sink cabinet. Today we are putting that thing to good use.
