Another Stimulus Funded Green Company Failed

Was listening to Rush, he announced another one of Obama's green energy companies funded by the stimulus package, declared Bankruptcy today.  A company that makes batteries for electric automobiles was given $118.5 Million.  Rush gave the name of the company, but I did not catch it.  The technology for all these green energy enterprises just is not there yet.

If a business concept was such a great improvment to man/science/lifestyle/technology,etc., it would be stand alone and in no way in need of gov't funding.

Just after the Solyndra scandal got big publicity Rentech's green energy plant project in Florida was canceled abruptly. Cost to build it was planned at 200 million. They had all the permits, and everybody assumed it was a done deal, but something happened. This had all the earmarks of a Solyndra style boondoggle. Somebody probably got cold feet and decided they didnt need another scandal.

Well now, aint that a suprise?  Not!  The Obama Admin is on a row here.  Are there any  socalled "green energy investments" that have actually succeeded or become profitable?  Inquiring minds wanna know.  But then given the current administrations track record, maybe we really dont want to know the real truth...

What I'm interested in is how much cash was syphoned off by the executives to their personal stashes in some of these ridiculous boondoggles  I'd really like to know if Bobby Kennedy Jr. got his grubby little paws on some of that guvmint money--the little slime ball.

If there is a need or want for something, someone or some company is going to provide it, because of the chance to make money. Then that product will become better, and cheaper because of competition with other people making the same product. If no one wants a product or needs it, no amount of government money is going to keep the company that makes that product afloat. Unless of coarse government forces people to buy that product. I guess government forcing people to buy a certain product has already happened, with light bulbs. What will be next?
