If this stuff can repel ice build up on airliners it would be a great savings as a typical airliner can cost around $7,500 to spray with current deicers.

Saw a demo of this just the other day.  For $69 you can have your expensive Iphone coated with the stuff and make it totally water proof.  In the demo the phone is laid in a bowl and the bowl is then filled with water.  Afterward the phone showed no ill effects. 


Just bought a new car that has been coated with a similar but not as effective product by 3M.  Yes it still gets dirty but not nearly as much as it would without it.  Simplifies cleanup greatly.  Well worth the investment.

I want some of that for my kayaks and for the house, it might be great to treat the carpet, tile and laminate floors.  I use silicone spray on all of my wood working machinery and it seems to keep the cast iron surfaces from rusting and the wood slides like it's on rollers, but this new product might be even better.
