Stock bolt

I have a question for anyone that might know, Can anyone tell me if the stock bolt for a SB2 will work for both youth and adult stocks ? if not where can I get the shorted bolt for a youth stock?

if it's a wood stock i would think it would be the same, it's shorter at the recoil pad end not the receiver end

Pretty sure they are the same.  3/8-24(fine thread) 4"  I just picked up a handful of extras at Ace hardware

Thanks guys, I was hoping it would be the same.  I'm new to the handi rifles, I have recently purchased the youth RMEF handi for my son, but come to find out the stock is a standard lenght.    Kinda makes me wounder why they stamped it and call it the youth model ?

The stock could have been changed by someone in the past since it was in factory condition, all modern H&R single shot stocks are interchangable, most forends are too except on some shotguns and slug guns. Be aware that some synthetic stocks take different stock bolts, and why the bolt being too long(no washer used) can be a big problem, they're all listed in the FAQs.

The gun has a RMFR emblem on the stock and the Barrel is stamped RMFE Youth. That's why I can't figure out why they would have a standard stock on it ?  I just purchased a synthetic youth stock and forearm to replace it, so the kid can use it. I will keep the cool    RMEF until he gets a little bigger.

The stock, which I understand isn't marked youth, just the barrel, could still have been replaced with an adult RMEF stock, H&R has made thousands of them with the medallion in them, I have a couple myself.  Could very well have been a mistake direct from the factory too, I have a couple of those too....factory mistakes that is!
