I own a mid 80's 336 in 35 remington, i use a plain old simmons 3-9x40 scope on it, im confident enough in it with 200 grain lever revoloutions to shoot it out to 200 yards, but after that its pushing it. I love the gun because of its reliability and the fact that i hunt in thickly wooded river hill country in Northeast Louisiana. The short overall length combined with the accuracy and function makes it one of my most relied upon guns. My next most favorite is a single shot 444 marlin. It has taken several deer in the same conditions.
