Ruger SR9C mags???
« on: January 31, 2012, 02:04:18 PM »
I just got an email notification from Midway that the 10 rd. SR9c magazines that I have been waiting for have been discontinued by the manufacturer. I haven't found anyone but Ruger that has them in stock. Why discontinue the mags unless your going to discontinue the pistol? ???
Anyone else hear anything?

I think I'd have to give Ruger a call.  Myself, provided I had one for the pistol and a spare in case it quit working, wouldn't worry too much.  My Glock 19 comes with 15 round mags, one I use in the pistol for maximum concealability, I carry Glock 17 magazine for a reload.  The 17 round spare magazine hides as easily as the 15 round.  You might consider using 17 round SR-9 magazines the same way.....

I called Ruger and they said they have a ton of them and didn't know why no one was stocking them.
I called Midway and they later sent an email saying that Ruger changed the vendor part number on the mags which triggered the "no longer manufactured" notice.
