What's going on at Cooper ?

  I visited another website tonight, which deals virtually exclusively with rimfires.  The moderator was scolding posters with a warning to close the Cooper firearms segment, saying it was getting too political..  He didn't want the situation with Cooper to even be mentioned brfore election is over.     ... Does anyone here know the story ?

Grossly old news. Now had it been put out last presidential election it wasn't so old.

The founder of Cooper supported obama last time around. It really was kinda moot even then as he had already left the company and has no current association with them. Current owners and management do not support him.

Last election, I heard Cooper donated money to obrahma.  May have something to do with it.

It was Dan Cooper who founded the company. He is no longer associated with them and really wasn't during last election. He really didn't own the company he had founded any longer and when he made the donation the folks who did kicked him out. It was a real big deal last election cycle.
