Scope Mount for a Single Six

I'm looking to put a red dot scope on my Ruger Single Six. I see I have two options for a no gunsmith scope mount. One from Weigand , the other B-square. What do you think the better choice would be.

The Weigand mount using the rear sight elevation screw and a set screw for mounting. Is it a very secure set up? I do like it being compact.

The B-square mount on the other hand uses the rear sight screw hole and the front sight screw hole for mounting. Its full length. It seems like it would be very secure. I was wondering if the full length mount attaching the barrel and frame with a rigid aluminum mount would have any affect on accuracy.

I don't know about this particular mount, but the Wiegand mount I got for my S&W will not accommodate Burris Zee Rings. It will accommodate other Weaver-style rings.  It is a great mount and is exceedingly well made and very tough. It looks good too. I'd buy another one, just be aware of the limitation on the rings.

I've used the Weigand mount for about three years now on my single Six with.22 lr and .22 mag ammo with no problems. Also B-Square makes a mount that uses the front and rear sight holes to mount a full length rail on the gun. As always remember "LocTite is are friend".
