Little Weatherby Shooters....
« on: March 09, 2004, 10:37:20 AM »
Anyone here shoot one of the "Little Weatherby's".  By that I mean the either the .224 or the .240 Weatherby Magnums.  Both are really fine cartridges with the .224 being a ballistic twin to the .22-250 and the .240 Weatherby the King of the 6mm's factory cartridges.  I love mine.  Lawdog

i got a 28 inch 240wby tube sitting here just waiting for an action.  i think it will be a solid preformer on steel and other critters.  cant wait to get it going.

Lawdog,

I shoot the 240 case, does that count? It makes a heck of a 411cal. pistol round!

300gr. Hawk Rn at 2100 out of a 14 1/2" tube!

And the best part is, a friend bought me 10 boxes of brass [new]at a gun show for $50

Bruce,

I don't think .411 counts as a Small Bore.  Actually I never heard of anyone doing that but again I'm not up on wildcat cartridges.  too darn many of them.  Lawdog
