Watch HotShots on Tuesday night on cable if you have it.  The shotgunner uses one and does some amazing things with them.  He does install the extended mag tubes, but has for a while been using std. actions.  I've had good luck with Mossy pumps, but haven't actually shot their semi's.

I have own a Mossberg  500 years ago and it was a great gun....I will have to check out that show....I am thinking of buying the 930 with the 24 in vb barrel and then ordering the 24 in rifled barrel with the cantliver mount......I dont really care for the rifle sights myself

Consider the stoeger semi, with benelli action, and of a comparable price to the 930.

I've heard good things about them.  we raised 5 boys on a farm and have had 2 M500s and 2 M835s and have been very happy.  One of the 835 has a cantilever scope mount barrel and shoot about 2" groups at 100yards with Remington 2-3/4" Copper Solids.  Crank the barrel nut down as tight as you can get it for the best accuracy...

I don't know if the barrels are interchangeable with the pump guns and I don't think Mossberg currently lists a cantilever slug barrel for the 930.  I'd check on that by calling the tech line since they may know if one is planned.
