I've pushed barges around the Peduca area on the Ohio and when you put 1000' of barges up close to the bank those suckers get trapped and pop out everywhere. I'll bet I've seen as many as 200 in the air at one time. They land on the boat and barges every where. Have even seen them land on empties which is at least 12' high. Oh them is some slimy stinkin' devils too. lol

On a serious note there needs to be a market for these fish to help lower numbers. Cat food, dog food, fertilizer.
As it stands right now I'd say if one was to put out a net you wouldn't be able to pull it in.

They were trucking them from Mississippi to Canada in the late 1980s for human consumption. They got a good price then.haven't been around the fish business since 92 so I don't know if they still sell them from MS up there anymore. Never ate one but was told that on flavor they were real good and not full of bones like a regular carp. ear
