Thanks CP. No big deal. I have found ammunition listed several places at fantastic prices but most of it is the corrosive stuff, and almost everyone is always out of stock. Weird. The American ammo is loaded from 2500 fps way down to 2000. I may just go to my 30.06 Winchester pump-pretty cool gun, light, fast, and hair trigger that was prompted by my file. Not sure I can trust it but I will. Also might get serious about .308 Palma that Lapua has introduced. Brass and bullets are way under the .338, almost in reach of us poor boys. I do know I want to go with Lapua brass, just because it's the best. Haven't done any reloading in years, and it's amusing to find out that primers are still 3 or 4 cents, powder about how much, anyone, brass close to a dollar, and bullets 30 cents to a dollar. Am I way off on any of those? Powder say in the 50 cent range? No idea on that. Some of the surplus rounds for the 8x57 run in the 25 cent range and even less in quantity-hard to fathom. I may have to resign myself to cleaning the barrel after every session - should be no big deal.
