Drones over America

Are these drones any different than a camera mounted at every other intersection, exit ramp and bridge?  The time to be worried about 24/7 surveillance has long since passed. Cellphone game cameras are soon going to be hacked into    be careful in the woods too boys.


I am not for a minute buying into hellfire missiles being deployed against US citizens. If that happens they sure as hellfire won't be worried about how stealthy the delivery vehicle is. It will be game on and will have been for quite some time. You will get yourself shotified and labeled a domestic terrorist. So simple even a politician can do it.

You don't think they would have been used against the Branch Davidian's in Waco?

They are just another step in militarizing our police departments, and one we durn sure don't need.
I kind of liked the police of the 60's and 70's.

Yep, very sure.  I thought it was a good decision.  Doesn't do much to support your claim, though, that the use of drones violates the "right to privacy".

Far as I know, drones are used for visual surveylance, not audio.  Also, if I recall correctly, Katz was about wiretaps on a public phone, not conversations taking place in the wide open public spaces.

I kinda doubt if drones can penetrate your house and pick up your voice.
and out on the street, everyone is yakking on a cell phone so it would be hard to pick out a single conversation.

Bug__ they can do all those things, see thru buildings, identify persons, and listen in, intercept radio phone calls,,,how do you think they target in on wedding parties and funeral processions in pakistan/afghanistan? 1984..dude!!

Problem with drones, is they don't have human eyes and reactions on the spot.  Someone watching a tv screen from a camera might not get all the information to process properly.  A pilot can see, process and determine what needs to be done, whether to fire or not.  Someone setting at a desk watching a tv screen might make the wrong decision, and like someone said, press a fire button.  The good intentions were to watch the border for illegals, and follow a get-a-way car somewhere.  It can also seen anyone else doing anything.
