CPAC Should Be called NEO-CONPAC
« on: February 13, 2012, 02:58:53 PM »
According to The new American news letter, the JBS(John Birch Society) was not invited to CPAC this year.
John McManus wrote a good article on it.http://thenewamerican.com/opinion/953-john-f-mcmanus/10849-cpac-should-be-labeled-neoconpac-

Care to give some examples? Most Neoconservatives beleve that national security is best attained by actively promoting freedom and democracy abroad through the support of pro-democracy movements, foreign aid and in certain cases and military intervention. This is a departure from the traditional conservative tendency to support friendly regimes in matters of trade and anti-communism even at the expense of undermining existing democratic systems and possible destabilization.I think Reagan was head and shoulders above the main stream Republicans today, but certainly not the best President this country has seen.

We probably haven't had a Republic minded President since the inauguration of Lincoln.
Been slipping away since. We've been Blessed and given the opportunity to do so with a man who would try to govern in the tradition of the founders.
He most assuredly is not a (Cuss word) Neo-Conservative

your basic neo-con is someone who used to be a liberal and then saw the light and became conservative.

Yes, but they arn't conservatives, they are just cons and that goes for Ronald Reagan also. HE deregulated the banks which led to the bailouts that are going on now and he along with later congresses, removed the  lending controls over the banks. ear

ny_hunter.....Lets see now....Ronald Reagan created 25 MILLION jobs, balanced the budget, lowered taxes, and got America moving again after that peanut picking, gutless wonder Jimmy Carter darn near destroyed us......kinda like obama is doing right now.

Lets face the facts: Ron Paul was never, is not, and will never be, president of these United States of America. That said.....if he gets the nomination, I'll vote for him, even with his foreign policy, He's heads & tails above the one we have now. I just hope you all will do the same for whomever gets it. Another term with obama and we're all done.
                                  Best Regards, spitpatch

You have and deserve the right to vote for however you want and believe to be the best choice! That is a good thing. I don't have the power to see into the future as some can.It looks like he won't get the nod as the GOP choice to run against Obama. But either way, he will have made a huge impact on this Republican primary. Eye's have been opened!

I hope he will run as an Independent if he and his supporters are treated unfairly by the GOP.
I can almost say with certainty he will not support Romney or Santorum. To us followers of Paul, this would be Treasonous!I don't think we have anything to fear in that regard.

Those of us that have been around a long time, and younger thinkers have heard that ............If we don't vote for the lesser we are done stuff repeated every election cycle. It's part of the brainwashing strategy to keep us sheeple voting for the establishments choice. Yep! They have a choice on both sides,so it's a win either way for them. I think many of us that believe this way want to either see a (real) change or just close the door, declare bankruptcy, and start from scratch.

At the State level of coarse. ;)

X2

Any of the following presidents were head and shoulders above Reagan:
Jefferson
Cleveland
Washington

There are other presidents that I'd also put above Reagan, they all had faults but still did an excellent job.

Boys & girls......it's not about the "lesser of evils" it's about who we have to work with. I'm not to thrilled with the choices we have in todays world but, as I see it, theres only four choices.

Brainwashed you say........PLEASE. I would say that the people who just can't face the facts are the brainwashed, living in a state of denial.

I never said if we vote for the lesser that we're done.....pay attention here....I said if Obama gets re elected we're done. Vote your convictions, by all means.

Truth, I've found, is something that will not come to one easily, and I spend many hours seeking it. To date I've been very disturbed in some form by ALL the choices we have, includung RP.

We're not going to turn this Country around in 4 years...I'm just hoping we can get the person elected who will get started on it. It took many years to get us into this hole and will take many to get us out.

I DO wish we could get Dr. Pauls economic policies implemented......don't use a scapel, use a chainsaw! The biggest problem with this will be the 50% of America with their hand out, besides the rest of the world. There will be no simple solutions, but RP DOES have some great ideas on these matters. One this we fully agree.

                                                         Best Regards, SP

You can stop right there, we have nothing to work with. RP is the best we have.
