I emailed Henry and told them how much I liked the 22 Mag I just bought and emailed a target that I shot with it. The Company President emailed me back and thanked me for my email and kind words and sent me a enamel Henry Coffee mug. Now I do not know if they do this for every one that emails or sends a letter to them but I was impressed that they would take the time to show their appreciation. More than I got from any other company. I think it was a nice touch and I still like the gun I bought

I'm impressed. They are pretty rifles, I've never shot one, but have heard nice things about them. But old fashion business practices!!! Hope you enjoy the coffee out of that mug almost as much as shooting the rifle!

I have heard a lot of good things about the Henry Rifles. Someday I will probably end up with one. If I remember correctly, I believe I read somewhere that these rifles are made in Brooklyn, New York, of all places!
Correct me if I am wrong.

In both the Henry webpage and catalogue, there is a section where owners have written the company describing how much they like their new rifles. Many send pictures of shot groupings also. For some reason I've always been sceptical when reading these, but not anymore. I guess people really do like these rifles enough to tell the company president. This builds a really strong case for the rifle and makes me want to buy one.

The only complaint I've read from gun writers is of the alloy reciever; but they nullify their own complaints when they rave about how smooth the action is. What's not to like?

To answer the last 2 posts, Greybeard, it is the standard one Model H001M. I wanted that one because of the built in scope grooves and for me it was more affordable because the yellow boy of course is more money. Massenrg, I cannot figure out the critics who complain about the alloy reciever yet shoot tons of rounds through a 10/22 with a alumimum reciever and no complaints about that? I think they have to find some fault because they cannot believe that a gun as reasonable as the Henry can come with a walnut stock, smooth action and be accurate to boot and cheaper than the competition.
