My aunt give me a old savage model 6A auto 22 and was wondering if anyone can tell me something about it.(How old value etc.) Seems like a preety nice rifle.

Savage Model 6 Autoloading Rifle.......$165
Takedown.  Caliber: .22 Short, Long, L.R.  Tubular magazine holds 21 Short, 17 Long, 15 L.R. 24-inch barrel.  Weight 6 lbs.  Sights: open rear, bead front.  Checkered pistol-grip stock on prewar models, postwar rifles have plain stocks.  Made 1938-68.

Savage Model 6S.............................$180
Same as Model 6, except w/peep sight, bead front.  Made 1938-42.

Thanks Jim. Thats what I was wanting to know.Not interested inselling or trading just wondering what I had.
